Milton Glaser is a legend in design. An expert illustrator, interior designer, and architect, his work has been showcased in the world's best museums. He is also a successful businessman, having started several prominent design firms.

Milton Glaser is arguably the most important figure in graphic design of our time. He is responsible for creating the enduring "I love NY" logo as well as the World Health Organization's International Aids Symbol.

Glaser, a native New Yorker, attended the prestigious Academy of Fine Arts in Bologna on a Fulbright scholarship. Shortly after his graduation, he founded Pushpin Studios in New York City, a design and illustration business that still operates today.

Print Design

Pushpin Studios would be just one of many successful design businesses Glaser would found. In 1968, Glaser co-founded New York Magazine, which would usher in a completely new, and widely embraced, form of publishing design.

In 1983, Glaser expanded his involvement in the publishing business, starting the WBMG consulting firm. Through WBMG, Glaser would consult the most notable newspapers, magazines, and periodicals in the country, including the Washington Post and the Los Angeles Times.

Architecture and Interior Design

Glaser's design talent wasn't limited to print. He also excelled in architecture and interior design. In 1974, he founded Milton Glaser, Inc. a design business in which he became involved in corporate marketing campaigns as well as interior and architectural design projects for shopping malls, restaurants, public spaces, and business districts.
